The challenge

Belisol sells windows and doors. This happens at the kitchen table, with a sample book and a configurator at hand. You can show the product. Not the house.

That's where the gap is. A customer torn between two front doors is really torn about their own facade. How does that model look there, next to that one window, in that light?

The ask was to take that step out of the customer's head and put it on the screen. A sales rep takes a photo of the house on site and gets back an impression with products from the company's own range.

The bar was high, and rightly so. An image that doesn't look right doesn't sell.

The main UX challenge was to take that visual guesswork out of the customer's head and put it directly onto a screen. The goal was simple: let a salesperson take a photo of the house on-site and instantly generate a real-life visual using products from the catalog. Because trust is critical in home renovation, the visual quality had to be extremely high. If the image looked fake or cheap, the customer would not buy.

The approach
To make the tool work well during a quick sales meeting, the UX/UI design focused on speed, simplicity, and ease of use for both the seller and the homeowner:
  • Simple Workflow: The salesperson logs in, uploads one or more photos of the property, and marks the exact windows and doors that need replacing.

  • Easy Product Choice: Once areas are marked, the user selects real products from the catalog, including frame styles, colors, and specific handles. For windows, grid layouts can be updated all at once or adjusted one by one.

  • 100% Orderable Selection: Every visual option shown in the interface corresponds to a real product. What the customer sees on screen is guaranteed to be available for purchase.

  • Flexible Context Controls: To account for wider renovation ideas, like repainting the wall, changing roof tile colors, or removing a tree blocking the view, a flexible text field lets the salesperson guide adjustments to the background.

Behind this simple interface, a custom Visual AI pipeline handles complex details. The system keeps the AI changes strictly inside the marked frames, leaving the rest of the house untouched. It also smartly handles obstacles like cars or bushes in front of the house and keeps natural glass reflections, turning a simple photo into a believable preview.

Result

Belisol NL went live in early July 2026, Belisol BE and KwadrO in late August. Three environments, one tool, every feature set out at the start delivered.

What customers used to have to picture in their heads is now on the sales rep's screen.

Windows and doors are only one version of this problem. A floor, a tile, wallpaper or paint on a wall, a facing brick, a patio cover: all products you can only really judge once they're in the customer's home. The pipeline we built for Group A is tailored to their range. The approach underneath it is not.
