About Elaut and the challenge

Elaut Group is a Belgian manufacturer of arcade games, known worldwide for its claw machines and coin pushers. With innovation in their DNA, the team wanted to extend the arcade experience beyond the walls of the venue. As mobile gaming becomes increasingly dominant, the question was clear:

How do we create an online arcade experience that feels just as real as the physical one?

That's how Livecadia was born, a platform that allows any arcade to offer a remote experience for its players. The goal: increase engagement between arcades and players, attract new audiences, boost return visits, and ultimately grow revenue through a multichannel gaming journey.

Our approach: play remotely, feel physically connected

Buzzworks was responsible for designing and developing a scalable, intuitive front-end experience. The result is a seamless and immersive web application that enables real-time gameplay directly from the browser.

Players log in, view a live video stream of a real claw machine inside a physical arcade, and control it in real time, remotely.

We made sure this experience wasn't just functional, but emotionally resonant. The visual feedback, interface interactions, and timing all contribute to a sense of physical presence in a digital space.

What we built:

  • Frontend developed in React + TypeScript, using Gatsby

  • Styled with Material Ul components for flexibility and brand consistency

  • Fully white-labeled interface per arcade operator

  • Realtime video streaming via WebRTC with extreme low-latency

  • Realtime player interaction via MQTT with extreme low-latency

  • Optimized for mobile and desktop

Thanks to this setup, communication with the physical device is nearly instant. Players see and control the action with almost no delay, offering a true real-time arcade experience from anywhere.

Buzzworks (through our frontend team at AppFoundry) worked closely with other Xplore Group partners to bring Livecadia to life.

Together, we formed a multidisciplinary expert team combining UX/UI, cloud infrastructure, loT, e-commerce, and backend development.

  • Buzzworks handled the immersive front-end interface

  • Cloudway delivered the scalable AWS-based architecture

  • Refleqt rigorously tested performance, UX and security

  • Gluo automated the infrastructure deployment

This tight collaboration allowed us to integrate real-time video, device connectivity, and commerce flows into one unified digital experience. Players can buy credits online and even select their physical prize remotely, just like in a real arcade, only now from their couch.
